Steve Stackpole has an MFA from VCU and was adjunct faculty in VCU's sculpture department for several years. During this time he created a class which taught art students to use technology and mechanical engineering students to think creatively while they worked together on group assignments to create kinetic art. After graduation, he built a studio in Ashland Virginia. Now he makes automata and sells it locally and on his website: stevestackpole.com
