Mike "Soz" Sosnowski was born in 1956. He graduated from the Art Institute in Pittsburgh in 1977. The following year he was hired as an animator for Ralph Bakshi's "The Lord of the Rings." The past 20 years he has worked as a TV animation storyboard artist. Working for everyone from Filmation to Disney, including the first season of Steven Spielberg's hit show "Toonsylvania" for Dreamworks, developing a horror anthology series for Warner Bros., recently doing storyboards for Revolution Studios' Flash animated feature, "The Lil Pimp: and finishing up working on a "Tom and Jerry" direct-to-video feature in late 2003.
His personal work includes several short comic book stories published in Spazz, a local L.A. magazine, and gallery shows including La Luze de Jesus, Merry Karnowsky and Tamara Bane galleries in Los Angeles. In 1999, the painting "Death Breath" was published in Spectrum Five, the annual competition of contemporary fantastic art. Spectrum Nine featured a photograph of "Demon in the Box," a 28" high sculpture. Sosnowski's work also appeared in the Sept/Oct 2001 issue of Juxtapoz.
Sosnowski can also be seen each year selling prints and originals at his booth at the San Diego Comic Convention.
