Owner Jordu Schell has been a designer of film and television characters for over 15 years, and has worked on numerous projects including: MEN IN BLACK, PLANET OF THE APES(2001), BATMAN RETURNS, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, THE X-FILES MOVIE, PREDATOR II, GALAXY QUEST, EVOLUTION, MY FAVORITE MARTIAN, ALIEN: RESURRECTION, BABYLON 5-THE SERIES, THE GUYVER, BEDAZZLED, and many more.
His company, Schell Sculpture Studio is a full service sculpture and design facility specializing in props, creature and character design, prototypes for toys and model kits, as well as general special effects work.
His classes, which are taught in the studio, allow students to get a first-hand look at how creatures are created for movies and television, and a thorough hands-on experience designing their own masks, maquettes and illustrations. His is the only school specializing in these aspects of conceptualization.
