Dawn Brown began her career in comics after a fateful meeting with Batman creator Bob Kane on the set of the film Batman & Robin in 1996. After many years working on movies as a set designer, Dawn was inspired to start developing stories of her own, and comics were the way they should be told. In 1998, she won the prestigious Xeric Grant for her debut mini-series, Little Red Hot, published by Image Comics. Another Little Red Hot series in 2001 led to a turn illustrating the cult-classic Vampirella for Harris Comics. In 2006, Dawn received with an Eisner Award nomination in the category "Talent Deserving of Wider Recognition" for Little Red Hot and Ravenous, a graphic novel inspired by the works of Edgar Allan Poe. She continues to design movie sets for Hollywood productions including Planet of the Apes, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and Ocean's Thirteen. Dawn lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their two crazy cats
